Disclaimers:

Metal - All metal plates are uncoated and can potentially oxidize to form a patina over time. This can be further caused by water droplets (or other liquids), moisture, and oils from your hands or other sources. Stainless steel, brass, and copper can be affected differently from different types of contaminants. Patina has no adverse affects to the keyboard in general, simply an aesthetic difference. Steps can be taken to either remove patina and protect the plate through the use of a metal varnish. It is up to the customer to take the proper actions (if necessary) to protect the long-term finish of the plate of their keyboard. 

Acrylic - Laser cutting acrylic can offer a very nice and clean edge finish to a design. However, there still may be some slight blemishes, specifically where the laser cutter engages in a new line. Other blemishes can still occur, but affected pieces will not be shipped if it is easily seen from the outside of the case. Matte finish might color/shade of acrylic to change based on lighting (angle, intensity, color). Photos are taken in varying backgrounds and lightings. Buyers must use their best judgement of color based on photos provided and other research before purchasing.
